AN INTRO BY EM

Why did I make a blog? - A question I am still asking myself.

By no means am I writer, and by no means, I mean I never write.
However, after reading over old journals from middle school, and reliving those glory, but awful, days, I was reminded of the minute details that happen in our life that make up who we become
& how we see the world, and also how those instances where we thought the world was actually going to end, turn out to be the best stories and life lessons.

So yes, why it is not atypical of me being that Mormon girl who is starting a blog for old times sake, just bear with me while I simply journal the moments in my life that that make up the big ones. & hey, maybe one day my posterity will be going through these nonsense posts
and learn a little bit about something.

>>INTRODUCTION TO ME<<

I strongly hope that those who read this know me well, and are able to simply laugh, or cry, with me as I share experiences and thoughts, but if not, I’ll introduce myself.

NAME: EMILY ELIZABETH
HOMETOWN: GILBERT, AZ
OCCUPATION: BYU STUDENT
MOVIE: MY BEST FRIENDS WEDDING
MUSIC: COUNTRY/ALTERNATIVE
SWEET: XAN SORENSON’S CUPCAKES
DRINK: DIET COKE
PLACE: THE BEACH
STORE: ANTHROPOLOGIE

Yeah, that may only just be a tidbit of what makes up my whole self. I should have you know I come from an amazing family, who has influenced me in ways I cannot comprehend and has made me who I mostly am today. My dad, Jim, who lives in Alaska, is a high-school principal who keeps me grounded & holds me to a high standard. He has in many ways influenced the
path I pursue in life, and has always encouraged me to test my limits.
My mom, Courtney, who is back home, is also an educator and an inspirer to those around her. If you knew her, you’d know what I mean. She is my biggest cheerleader, my therapist, and a woman who exemplifies unconditional love. However, this may not be seen in the many wild animal heads we have in our home, yes, she hunts. ;)
Courtney is married to Steve, who has become a huge role-model in my life.
Although not blood related, he appreciates me and loves me as if we were. Also a hard worker,
he never fails to let me know that I am capable of extraordinary things in life.
He has also embedded his love for QT Kitchen within me.
& then there is Molly, that young pest of a sister, which she is nothing of sorts.
A high school student, caring friend, and the most stylish of the both of us. That girl reminds me every day of the things that truly matter in life. Through her sense of humor
& go with the flow personality, she has taught me to not take myself and life too seriously. SHE ROCKS!

So anyway, thats just about it. I’m sure I’ll get to a point where I talk about all the people who have made me into the Emily that I am, but we’ll save that for a later day.

Hoped whoever is reading this enjoyed that introduction. Stay tuned for more.
