good morning!
hi all! it is good to be a missionary. but it is not very fun with a stomach bug, which seemed to be my case this week..yuck. even though i wasn't feeling totally great, i was able to have two great experiences!
the first was going to the temple with donna, who got baptized in october :) it had been a trial for her to be healthy enough to go to the temple, but she was determined that she was going to crawl there if she really needed to! thankfully that wasn't the case. as soon as she arrived i asked her how she felt, and she said that she had been waiting her whole life to feel like the way she did. throughout the whole experience she was beaming, she just belonged there! we called her later that day after returning home, and she said she couldn't wait to go back! it was incredible. what a blessing to be apart of it!
then since i was home-bound for a day, i had some time to reflect about the story of Jesus and the woman at the well. what does it mean to partake of the living water that Christ offers the woman? and what about the promise that if we do partake of this water, that we might never thirst again? i thought about what the living water is, and came to the conclusion that it truly is the gospel of Jesus Christ. living water makes us whole, it can heal us, cleanse us, and cure us of the spiritual drought that might be taking place inside of us. it is only through Christ that we each might quench our thirst of mortality & be made whole in a world that is trying so hard to break us to pieces. if you feel broken, go to the Savior! He knows what you are facing!!! He has already been there. He already suffered it for you! drink of His love!
i am indeed grateful for the Savior, i would be all dried up if i didn't have His living water to keep me going! i am grateful to be a missionary, even when there are hard times. i have learned so much about who Christ is to me, and how the gospel works for each of us!
i love each of you! have a great week! & HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! XOXO.
love,
sister bell.
